The Standard Employment Agreement favoring the employee narrows the typical employer restriction and defines with particularity the rights of the employee. The scope of employment provides a broad reference to the types of services required (e.g. management, marketing, administrative, financial). The scope of employment provision also provides a framework for defining the work schedule, selecting clients and pursuing outside employment interests in ways favoring employee. The agreement allows the employee to terminate with ten days notice, but allows the employer to cancel only for cause with thirty days notice and an opportunity for cure. Salary, bonus, working conditions, expense reimbursement and general benefits are defined. Intellectual property rights of the employer do not extend to employee properties and noncompete terms are limited to one year. The employer indemnifies employee against any breach of the agreement.
