The standard Employment Agreement favoring the employer resolves all of the major employment issues in favor of employer control. The scope of services defines the employment relationship and dictates location, hours and employer management control. A policy manual is referenced and outside business interests are prohibited. The employment term extends from the date the agreement is signed to termination or cancellation. Termination requires fifteen days notice, while cancellation without notice is permitted in the event of misconduct, breach, conviction, or business damage. Salary, expense reimbursement and general benefits are referenced. The employer claims broad ownership of all intellectual property rights to all work product, as well as policy manuals, business records and business information. Employee acknowledges that all confidential information is a trade secret. Employee pirating and noncompete clauses are very restrictive and service termination of the relationship for two years.
