Jeffrey C Maynard
Mr. Maynard received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy in 1980. In 1999, he earned the degree of Juris Doctor from the School of Law at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and joined Draughon Professional Association the following year. He is a member of the Maryland Bar. After graduating from the Naval Academy, Mr. Maynard served as a submarine officer in the United States Navy until his retirement in 1995. While a naval officer, he was designated as a nuclear engineer and directed operations and maintenance tasks for nuclear propulsion equipment and auxiliaries on a variety of submarines and warships. While in law school, Mr. Maynard interned with a private civil litigation law firm. After graduation and before joining the firm, he worked for an intellectual property law firm in Washington, D.C. on all aspects of intellectual property, particularly patent and trademark matters. Mr. Maynard is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His practice areas include technology law, patent prosecution, trademark registration acquisition and enforcement, and trade secret law.
