Mark J Young

Mark J. Young was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1994, the patent bar in 1995 and the Florida Bar in 1996. He joined the firm in June of 1995. Mr. Young received his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Polytechnic University in 1988. In 1994, he earned the degree of Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. Mr. Young attained a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property, with high honors, from the John Marshall Law School in 1995. After graduating from Polytechnic University, Mr. Young worked for Beltran, Inc. on various DoD-sponsored research and development contracts. While working for Beltran, he managed several Navy and Air Force contracts. Mr. Young continued working on DoD contracts through his first year of law school. After completing his first year of law school and for the remainder of his J.D. program, Mr. Young interned with E.S. Gallon & Associates on products liability matters, enabling him to apply both his legal and technical backgrounds. Mr. Young interned with Wallenstein & Wagner on patent and trademark matters While working towards his Master of Laws. Mr. Young has experience in all aspects of intellectual property law and practice before the Patent and Trademark Office. He represents domestic and international clients in patent, trademark and copyright matters. He is well versed on the latest requirements and techniques for protecting trade identity rights and patenting computer software and business methods. He is also an adjunct professor with the Florida Coastal School of Law.
