The best way to address this requirement is to have relationships with senior lawyers who are willing to listen to the issues, and have the experience to provide useful advice. The Draughon Affiliate Program provides you with access to senior Technology Lawyers who can, and will, spend time with you and answer your questions.

Draughon Affiliates may request two types of consultations with a senior technology lawyer. These consultations are initiated by the Affiliate and address the specific concerns and questions of the Affiliate lawyer. Consultation sessions are scheduled by the administrator within two business days of receiving a consultation request from the Affiliate.

Management consultations address business issues incidental to the practice of technology law. Key topics often include fees, client sourcing, business risks, employee development and recruiting, office and equipment procurement -- all of the business issues incidental to running a law office. These services are provided on a No Cost Basis for up to two hours every calendar quarter. More extensive consultations are available at a fee of $100/hr.

Practice Consulations address client matters. Key questions often include matters of judgement in negotiating contracts, arbitration and mediation strategies. Practice consultations can include research projects or direct client support in a matter if requested by the Affiliate. These services are billed to the Affiliate as research and case consultation costs at a rate of $100/hr and may be passed to the client by the Affiliate as appropriate.
